This place was 10/10 nothing was bad. Got the sampler with the wings, cheese steak rolls, and spinach dip. Then got the fried shrimp and ended it with the key lime pie. The wings are smoked and juicy, shrimp is golden and crispy and the pie, amazing!! Service was also outstanding!!

As a German visitor, I was genuinely impressed by Kill Devil Hill Grill in North Carolina. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming—very American, but with a level of quality that goes beyond expectations. What stood out most was the ingredient quality. While large portions are common in the U.S., here the focus is clearly on freshness. The seafood was excellently prepared—clean in flavor and not overdone—and the meat dishes were cooked perfectly, juicy, and well-seasoned without being overly sweet. Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive, and the staff showed solid knowledge of the menu. From a German perspective, the value for money is also worth noting: generous portions paired with genuinely good quality. Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience that proves American cuisine can be more than just “fast and plenty.” Definitely worth a return visit.

Hello from NY. We stayed in town for the night. Hotel had this place as a recommendation so we checked it out. Place is older. Definitely a regular crowd. Let me tell you what. The food was delicious. if we're ever back in town. We'll be back to see you. The woman bartender was super cool and on point. Can tell she's been doing it a while. Everyone was friendly also.

Great food and service. The blackened flat iron steak was delicious. It was cooked perfectly and so tender, though it could have used a little bit more salt seasoning, but still great. My wife got the grilled chicken sandwich and it was good as well. Do yourself a favor and get the crispy fried onions. The fries had the perfect salt to pepper ratio.

Food was delicious! Bartender was amazing. There was a little 20 minute wait for seating so we opted to sit at the bar. Loved the bartender! Amazing customer service!! And of course you can’t pass up the dessert while you are there!

KDG has been one of our favorite places on the OBX since it opened. The menu is creative, the food quality is consistently excellent, and the service is great. In summary, they’ve earned their reputation! A couple of things to be aware of: 1. It’s one of the most popular places on the beach road and they don’t take reservations so plan to go for dinner early or late - or be prepared to wait (we generally do a late lunch and it works great!) 2. It’s a fun, energetic environment, but quiet it is not, so if you’re looking for an intimate date night dinner try another place.

We had an hour wait at 4pm, and for good reason! This place was packed with excitement, it seems like this is the best seafood restaurant in the area! I loved the swordfish, it was so delicious. Our waitress was the BEST she had many recommendations and didn’t rush us. Highly recommend going earlier if you’re super hungry but it’s worth the wait! Good vibes and great service. Parking is limited so you might have to be patient! :) Will def be coming back.

This place is seriously a hidden gem. You wouldn't think from the outside they'd have the most delicious food. I had dinner here TWO times during my vacation. I needed to come back for more that's how good it was. Dan the bartender was awesome and made our meal super enjoyable! The black and blue lemonade is fresh and strong. Please check the chalkboard specials because they change frequently! Can't wait to come back.

This isn’t the first time that we’ve eaten here and it definitely won’t be the last the food is on point a solid, five out of five all the way across the board the pork chop is amazing. The crabcakes are some of the best you’ll find anywhere and the Keylime pies to die for… I will say this be prepared to wait for a table, but you’re waiting for good reason because the service and the food is that good I can never say enough about their staff absolutely willing to go over the top to make sure that your dining experience is one of the best that you’ll ever have. This is definitely someplace to put on your list of places to eat if you’re in the area… Thank you KDG staff as always, you killed it!
